Begin with 1 piece of newspaper -- scrunch up 6 pieces of construction paper --- wrap your newspaper around the scrunched up construction paper and tape to form the head.
Take 3 small paper plates and draw a face on each. Tape the faces in an upside down triangle shape to the newspaper face. Next tape 4 black, 6 green, and 5 white foot long yarn hanging down over the middle of his face. Then to the left; 7 black, 8 green, and 1 white hanging down to the side and on the right; 3 green and 1 white piece of yarn. These are all in random order. NO pattern.... Now glue a large paper plate to the bottom of the head.
Body: One VERY LARGE show box --- the bigger the better..... Sit the box tall and skinny --- just color in random colors and then attach with tape green, black and white yarn randomly to the front, back and left side of the monster. approx. 12 on each side.
Arms: Left-- take a 12x18 piece of rolled hotdog style yellow construction paper and place inside of a red solo cup -- tape in to hold. Then color the bottom side of a small plate red with 5 black stars; now attach with tape to the bottom of the solo cup.
Right -- take a 12x18 piece of rolled hotdog style blue construction paper and place inside of a red solo cup -- tape in to hold. Then color the bottom side of a small plate the rim blue; the circle flat part is half brown and half purple; now attach with tape to the bottom of the solo cup.
Now cut slits on the opposite end of the arm to fan out (spread) so that you can attach flat against the side of the box with tape.
Legs: Left -- take a 12x18 piece of rolled hotdog style orange construction paper cut slits on both ends of the leg to fan out (spread) so that you can attach flat against the bottom front left corner side of box. Then place a small paper plate staple the bottom side to the slits in the construction paper.
Right --- repeat directions for left leg except us red construction paper except place on the right!
He is sitting with his legs out to the front of him and his arms straight out to the side.
***We stapled the hotdog construction paper to keep in place.
