Hello, my name is Wiggles. I live in the core of the earth.  To make a living, I eat children.  For breakfast I eat chocolate-covered unicorns, for lunch I enjoy peanut butter covered finger sticks, and for dinner I devour science books.  In my free time, I enjoy selling hot dogs, eating teachers, singing the alphabet, and playing Soduko.

 

 

Body

 

Take 4 shoeboxes and put them on top of each other. Cover it with newspaper and tape it together. Take 6 small plastic cups and put them on the chest. Cover the whole body with red paper.  Make sure you tape the red paper.   Make a cape out of black paper and tape it to the back of the shoulders.

 

 

 

Head

 

First, blow up 2 yellow and 1 red balloons.  Then you poke a cut through the bottoms of 3 tiny cups. Put the balloon ends through each of the small cuts in the plastic cups.  Cut the flaps off of a shoebox to make a perfect rectangle.  Put duct tape where the flaps were so it stays shut.  Cover the box with light blue construction paper and tape it.  Tape the balloons with the cups to the box the vertical way.  Put the yellow balloons on the sides and the red in the middle.  Get colorful yarn and cut it about 3 centimeters long for bangs.  Tape them in front.  Use rubber cement and glue to put the nose on with a little cup.  Then use Elmer's Glue in the shape of a mouth and eyes and cover with red yarn.

 

Arm

 

Use a paper cup and cut a zigzag line on both sides so it's in 2 pieces.  Set aside the cups and get 2 shoeboxes.  Put them together like an L.  Put the 2 zigzags on the box.  The zigzags come off the back of the L.  Cover the cups totally gray.  Open the top left shoebox and stuff it with paper.  Put a balloon in the middle of the claw. Take a small paper cup and a big plastic cup.  Put them on the top of the box.  Put the paper cup on top of the plastic and cut a hole in the paper cup.  Blow up a balloon and tape it on the plastic cup.

 

 

 

Other Arm

 

Get 2 shoeboxes and make sort of an upside down T.  Take a plastic cup and cut a hole in the bottom of it.  Color the cup gray.  Attach the cup so that it's sticking off the back of the vertical part of the upside down T.  Put some white paper around a shoebox.  Blow up a red balloon and put the end in the cup and tape it there.  Roll up some yellow paper and tape it to the other end of the balloon.  Get 2 paper cups and punch one hole in each.  Then tape them on the top of the arm.

 

Legs

 

First get an 11 and ½ inch shoebox.  Then glue a 12 inch shoe box on top of it.  Take hot pink paper (and size to cover the part) and put it on the two boxes.  Then take light pink paper (cut into a little square) and glue it on to the leg.  Do the same thing for the other leg.

 

Take a 12 inch shoebox and tape hot pink paper on the box.  Take a string (to fit around the box), tape 10 balloons (any color) onto the string.

 

Cut a Styrofoam cup into a half.  Cut a paper plate into a small circle.  Put glue on the edge of the cup and stick them together.  Do it again for the other leg.  Put on the leg.  Take a paper plate and cut the middle out punch 15 holes with a hole puncher and stick string criss-cross and tie them in the knot.  Do the same for the other leg. Stick them under the legs.

 

Classroom B: Penny Scruggs (Dew ISD, TX)

• Red Paper
• Brown Paper
• White Paper
• Glue
• Shredded Newspaper

• Step1. Cut four strips of brown paper:   12 inches long by 3 inches wide.
• Step2. Put together two strips and glue one side.
• Step 3. Stuff with shredded newspaper and fully glue.
• Step 4. Do the same to the other two pieces of brown paper.
• Step 5. Glue one arm on the right side of the body/chest. 
• Step 6. Do the same on the left side.
• Step7. Bend the right arm at the elbow at a right angle pointing upward.

• Cover the left half facing the box with blue butcher paper.
• Cover the right half facing the box with red butcher paper.
• On the left side, cut a 7” long x 1” wide strip of dark blue butcher paper.
• Cut a 3 ½ x 4” red circle of red paper. Write D J H in capital letters slanting diagonally.
• Make 3” of red paper on the right side hang off. Cut 3 small triangles of white paper. Glue them inside the three red bigger triangles on the end.
