Our Monster's name is Harold-Hannah.  It is a 2-D monster.  We have mounted our monster on it on white butcher paper.

Harold-Hannah has two heads:

Head #1 is made of tan construction paper in the shape of a circle. This head has one big eye in the center of the face with lots of 'googly' eyes glued inside it.  It has 3 yarn eyelashes on top and 2 yarn eyelashes on the bottom. This head has a brown, felt eyebrow that looks very angry.  This head has two triangle-shaped noses that are blue.  Under each nose is a curly black (yarn) mustache.  This head has one large upside down triangle mouth many small, spiky triangle teeth lining each side (inside) of the triangle.  Under this mouth is a black goatee made of yarn.  This head has 5 'button ears' 3 on the outside and 2 on the inside.  This head has spiky hair made yarn of a variety of colors.  This head has spiky hair made of any color yarn.

Head #2 is also made of tan construction paper in the shape of a circle.  It also has one big eye in the center of the face with lots of 'googly' eyes glued inside it.  It has 3 yarn eyelashes on top and 2 yarn eyelashes on the bottom.  This head has two triangle-shaped noses that are blue.  This head has one large upside down triangle mouth and many small, spiky triangle teeth lining each side (inside) of the triangle.  This head has top 'lady-looking' lips on the top part of the triangle, made of red construction paper.  This head also has 5 'button ears' 3 on the outside and 2 on the inside, but these ears have one paper clipped slipped through each button for earrings.  This head has spiky hair made of any color yarn with little tiny Christmas bows stuck to each of the spiky hair pieces.

The Body is one big oval (black construction paper) that joins both heads.  On the bottom half of the body are yellow and orange flames (construction paper) and on the top are 3 rows of red hearts and pink flowers (construction paper) in a flower, heart, flower, heart pattern.

Right in the middle of the body is a belly button (a penny).

There are four arms made of purple construction paper in the shape of long, skinny rectangles. Each arm has a hand that is a brown triangle and on each had are 3 fingers made of popcicle sticks covered with a variety of stickers.

There are 10 legs made of construction paper in a red, green, red, green pattern.  At the bottom of each leg is a pipe cleaner foot in a squiggly patter glued horizontally on the bottom of each foot (various colors).

We hope you enjoy meeting & making Harold-Hannah!  We are looking forward to getting to know your Mr. Slop Monster & meeting you all next week! :)

Mr. Slop Monster

Supplies you will need: Kids boot box for the body, kids shoe box for the head, green, blue, black, red, and white butcher paper, crayons, and tape
Head: You need to wrap the shoe box with green paper. Next you need to make three oval eyes, and put a brown dot in the middle of one eye, an orange dot in the middle of another, and a green dot on the last eye. Tape them to the top of the head and make one eyebrow on the top of each eye. Make a red triangle nose and tape it under the eyes. Next, make a moon shaped mouth and put it upside down on the head. Inside the mouth you need to draw yellow fangs, and add drool under the mouth with a blue marker. You need to make spiked hair for the top of his head. It needs to look like mountains, after you cut it out, color it all different colors. Tape it to his forehead. Next, make two white pointy horns(one kid finger long), and tape them to each side of his head.
Body: Wrap the boot box with green paper like a Christmas present. After you wrap the box, cut out a t-shirt out of black paper, and tape it to the body. Make sure it is big enough to cover the whole body.   Next, use red paper to make the letter I and cut out a heart from the red paper. On white paper, write Blood in red crayon and cut out around it. You need to tapeI (heart) Blood to the shirt.  Don't forget to tape the head to the top of his body above his shirt!
Arms: For the arms you need your green paper, and you are going to cut four pieces that are as long as your teachers arm. Next, cut out four hands on green paper, and tape the hands to the bottom of the arms. After you tape the hands to the bottom of the arms, fold the arms to make them bumpy. Attach the arms to the body, and make them look like they are coming out of the sleeves on the shirt.
Legs: Cut two long pieces of red paper. The need to be as long as a kids leg. Trace two feet on blue paper, and cut them out. Tape the feet to the legs, and paint the monsters toenails using blue, pink, and green crayons. Next, fold the legs to look bumpy like the arms. Tape the legs to the bottom of the body.
