Hamilton PM Monster Match

Hello, my name is Sabrina the Monster. If you follow these directions very carefully, you will be able to make me. Let’s get started.

To make me, you will need:

Back Ground:

64” Long X 35” wide heavy weight Light Blue butcher paper

Body:

12”X 18” piece of green construction paper

29” Green triangle

12-3” yellow circles

2-3” red circles

4-2”red circles

Arms and Legs:

6-12”X9” pieces of blue construction paper

4-12”X9” pieces of green construction paper cut into 1” strips

4-12”X9” pieces of purple construction paper cut into 1” strips

Hands:

6-9”X12” pieces of yellow construction paper

1 small piece of black construction paper cut into 30 small triangles

Head:

18” purple circle

2-3” red circles

6-3” purple circles

6-2” red circles

6-11/2”black circles

6-1” white circles

6 very small black triangles (skinny, about 1” tall)

30 1”X1/4” black paper strips (rectangles)

5”blue oval

2-1/2” black circles

15-4”X1/2” blue paper strips

11” red football shape

9” black football shape

Small white triangles (about 2” tall and 1” wide)

Feet:

4 black army boot shapes

4-18 “ pieces of orange yarn

Directions:

Glue large green triangle to center of back ground paper. Glue 3” red and 2” red circles in an alternating pattern along the bottom edge. This will be the monster’s skirt. Then glue the green 12”X18” rectangle piece of paper over the top point of the triangle. Glue on the yellow 3” circles in a random pattern. This will be the monster’s shirt.

Make the arms by gluing the paper strips to the blue paper. The pattern will be blue, purple, green. When the strips have dried, cut the papers in half lengthwise. Use two of these pieces to make each arm and each leg. Make sure to angle them so that the arms and legs appear to be bent. You will have two arms and four legs. Using the yellow construction paper, trace and cut out 6 hands. Glue small black triangles to the tip of each finger for fingernails. Glue 3 hands to the end of each arm. Take each boot shape and punch 5 holes along the upper edge of each boot. Lace the yarn in a crisscross pattern through the holes and tie in a bow at the top of each boot. Glue the boots to the bottom of each leg.

To make the head, glue the large purple circle to the top of the body. Some of the head will hang over the top of the back ground paper. Glue the blue oval to the center of the circle for a nose. Add the two ½” black circles to the bottom center of the nose for nostrils. For the eyes, glue the 2” red circles to the middle of the purple circles. Then glue the 1 ½ “ black circles to the middle of the red circles. Glue the 1” white circles to middle of black circles. Lastly, glue one black triangle inside each white circle. Turn over each “eye” and glue a row of the small black paper strips for eyelashes to each. You should have 6 eyes. Place the eyes in an arch around the top of the nose. The mouth is made by gluing the black football shape on the center of the red football shape. Use the small white triangles to make teeth. There should be 3 teeth on the top and 6 teeth on the bottom. Glue the mouth below the nose. Use the 3” red circles to make ears. Glue one ear to each side on the head. Finally glue the blue paper strips in a row along the top edge of the head between the ears.

GOOD LUCK! HOPE I DON’T SCARE YOU TOO MUCH!
