Our monster’s name is Sally. Have fun making her!

Head- We used newspaper to make the head. We crumbled up newspaper to make a round head. It is about the size of volleyball. The face part is a little flat. We painted the head green.

Hair- We used blue construction paper for her hair. Her hair is long and straight and each strand is a foot long. We glued it on the green head.

Face- She has 2 triangle eyes made out of purple construction paper. We used a purple marker and made one circle in each triangle for the eye ball. She has curly eye lashes on the top eyelash only. The eyelashes are made out of black construction paper. Her nose is shaped like a carrot. We used orange constrction paper and made a foot long carrot nose. We cut 5 squares (little bigger than a quarter) out of red construction paper for her mouth. We shaped the red squares into a smile.

Body- We used a rectangle box for the body. The body is about the size of 2 adult size shoe boxes. We covered the box with brown butcher paper. It has 10 orange circles on the front of the body. We traced a regular size play doh lid and made the circles out of orange construction paper.

Arms- She has 2 arms made out of yellow butcher paper. We scrunched up the yellow butcher paper to give them a tree vine look. We traced one of our students hands on yellow construction paper. Each arm has one yellow hand. We painted red nails on each finger with a red marker.

Legs-We covered 2 small boxes about the size of a small shoe box with turquoise blue butcher paper for the legs.

Feet- Our monster has chicken feet. Each leg has one foot made out of yellow construction paper. Sandy is standing up on her 2 chicken feet.

Our monster has 2 yellow eyes that are round. It has a long green rectangular nose with a mole on the top. He has an upside down red crescent shape mouth with 4 sharp white triangle shaped teeth that point down. On each side of his head he has two purple letter C with a small one inside the other. On the top of his head he has wavy orange hair. His face is the color of the night sky. His body is the shape of a pear, which is the size of a small child and the color of the sky. His arms and legs bounce when he walks. On the end of each he has one pink hand and one foot white. In the middle of his body he has 6 red hearts the size of a walnut. Take each item and glue them all together to make our monster. Have fun.
