Mr. Cranky the Monster
Our monsters name is Mr. Cranky. He is very big. His head is blue and about the size of a tire. It is made out of bulletin board paper. The rest of his head is made from construction paper. He has 4 blue ears about the size of slices of pizza. There are two on each side of his head.
He has 4 eyes. They are white triangles and have orange circles in them. The eyes are in a row and are about the size of small pizza slices.
Mr. Cranky has 5 orange freckles the size of ants. There are three on the left and two on the right.
His nose is a pink oval the size of a cookie and it is horizontal.
His horns are red and are the shape of the tops of a candy cane. There are two of them and they are on the top of his head curved out.
Mr. Cranky’s mouth is pink and jagged. It has yellow teeth.
His beard is purple and has a jagged bottom. It is about the size of two fists.
His neck is yellow and is about the size of a baby’s foot.
The body parts are side by side under his head.
The first part of the body is an orange circle as big as a tire. It has stripes like waves and looks like a giant Easter egg. The stripes are yellow like a banana. They are horizontal. This part of the body has 3 legs.
The middle part of his body is a purple diamond. The diamond is as tall as a teachers chair. It is as wide as a second graders arm. It has 15 red polka dots. They are the size of apples. Three are a little bigger. This part of the body has 2 legs.
The third part of Mr. Cranky’s body is a big, green triangle about the size of a student desk. It has a lot of yellow stripes that are vertical. The stripes are about as thick as your arm. This part has 2 legs. On the top of the triangle he has a red wavy tail. It is about as long as 3 art boxes. It is fat.
The 7 legs are made of yellow construction paper we folded in half like a hotdog and cut on the fold. The feet are red hexagons the size of a second graders face.
We had fun making Mr. Cranky and hope you do to! We can’t wait to make your monster!

Classroom B: Jackie Gill (Three Oaks, MI)
Our monster's name is Citet.
He is as big as a four foot tree.
Citet is green with purple dots. The dots are as big as a grape. The dots are all over his body except his feet, hands and arms.
His head is the size of a watermelon. It is green, too.
His ears are purple in the shape of a cone.
His nose is a very thin line shaped in a circle.
Citet's mouth is yellow and shaped like a banana with its ends up.
His teeth are small and jagged. There are 8 of them. The teeth are pointed up.
His body is in the shape of a rectangle with the long sides going up.
Citet's tail is purple in the shape of an upward smile. It is 1/10 the size of his body.
All along the top of his tail are orange triangles with the points going up.
His feet and arms are yellow. All four are six inches wide and two feet long.
Citet's hands and feet are blue circles the size of medium pumpkins.
